Buying baby shoes in Bangladesh can feel confusing. Markets in Dhaka are full of colourful pairs, prices change from shop to shop, and it is hard to know which size will actually fit. This guide explains what baby shoes cost in Bangladesh, how to pick the right size, and what makes a pair worth buying.
Baby shoes price in Bangladesh (2026)
Most baby shoes in Bangladesh fall into three price groups:
- ৳300–৳600: soft cotton booties and sock shoes for newborns and crawlers.
- ৳600–৳1,200: soft-sole and anti-slip shoes for babies who are starting to stand and walk.
- ৳1,200 and above: branded first-walker shoes with rubber soles and better finishing.
A higher price does not always mean a better shoe. Look at the material, the sole and the fit first.
Choose the size by age, then check the foot
- 0–6 months: foot length about 9–11 cm – booties and soft sock shoes.
- 6–12 months: about 11–12.5 cm – soft-sole shoes for crawling and standing.
- 12–18 months: about 12.5–13.5 cm – first-walker shoes with a flexible rubber sole.
- 18–24 months: about 13.5–14.5 cm – everyday toddler shoes.
Measure your baby’s foot from heel to the longest toe and add about 1 cm of room. Babies’ feet grow fast, so check the size every 2–3 months.
What to check before you buy
- A soft, flexible sole that bends easily in your hand.
- Anti-slip bottom for tiles and marble floors, which are common in Bangladeshi homes.
- Breathable cotton or soft fabric for our hot and humid weather.
- Velcro or elastic opening so the shoe goes on quickly.
- Smooth stitching inside, with no hard edges.
